我眼中的自己

I am a positive, optimistic, hard-working person that puts family first. I have been blessed with a wonderful family and an amazing life. The past few years have been met with more challenges that I would have wanted, but I know God has a reason, and we need to enjoy every new day and every step along the journey.
I do not have any children, nor am I married, both of which are two of my biggest regrets in life. I would love to have children of my own, but I am getting older and accept that it is not likely going to happen. I would love to be a father and accept someone else’s children as my own. God and spirituality are important to me, although right now I am now actively involved in my religion, Christianity. I would however, love to be able to share God and His blessings with my wife in the future. I do not smoke, drink alcohol, do any drugs nor party, so maybe too boring for some. I am an honest, loyal, faithful man the loves to work, but I also recognize the importance to step away from work and spend quality time with those in your life. It seems life comes at us fast, and if you don’t stop to smell the roses you miss out on the journey. It is a daily quest for knowledge, self-discovery, improvement and sharing.
Now that I am getting older, I want to be able to spend more time traveling with someone I love, my partner, my soulmate. Be able to experience and learn about one another as we visit and enjoy visiting other cultures and places. Trying new foods, activities, giving of ourselves by way of time and charity to help all humankind. I feel I am romantic, and although through life I have become more jaded, I still feel I am an extremely compassionate, caring, loving, thoughtful person. I love to follow my heart, and although it has led me astray in the past, I am not scared to take a chance, when I feel in my heart someone, or something is right.
I am often a homebody, but the reality is I love, love, love getting out and doing things. Let me clarify, I love to stay home and cook, watch movies/tv, have mature, intellectual, captivating conversation about the world, people, politics and more. Self-development, learning, growing are always part of who I am and what I wish to do with my wife.
Now I do love to get out and do about anything and everything!! I will try pretty much anything at least once. For example, I have not bungy jumped nor been skydiving but would gladly do both. I love scuba diving, playing sports, hiking, doing some home improvements and some gardening. My favorite genre is musicals, but I love movies, plays, comedies and more. I am not a huge fan of science fiction, hard rock, blues and jazz, but love everything else. And, if you like to listen to your music in a language that is different than mine, I don’t mind.
I speak English and Spanish, a little French and Japanese and would love to learn more languages.
I am looking for a serious relationship and marriage. I am in my opinion a good man and would be a wonderful husband. I am not someone that likes to play around when it comes to relationships. I am serious, gentle, fun loving and overall, a Teddy Bear. I don’t want a high maintenance woman, but someone that is confident in themselves, their looks, career, and strong. Not someone so independent that they don’t see the value of a marriage partnership, but someone that can also take initiative. I am old fashioned, in that I still believe in chivalry, and that men should take care of their wife and family. I love romance, hugs, snuggling, public displays of affection (within reason) and letting my partner know she is my one and only queen and I love her.

I am looking for a partner, someone to share my life with and the good and bad things we all experience in life. I am looking for a best friend, someone that I can share everything with in life. I am looking for someone that I am crazy about! Someone that is beautiful, smart, spontaneous, fun and funny, kind, caring, sexy, giving, thinks of others first and more. I want a woman to support and inspire me. Someone that is honest, loyal, communicates well in an open and vulnerable way. Someone who takes their career seriously, loves to work, but doesn’t let it rule their life. They work to live rather than live to work. Someone that isn’t materialistic but real. Someone that uses common sense to both live for today and plan for our future. I want someone that is affectionate, loving, sexual and with whom I have good chemistry. Someone that is spontaneous and willing to share their affection to me, just as I am to her. I am comfortable with boundaries and respect is one of the most important things in a good marriage and relationship.
To be honest, our partnership is one of being on the same team, which means supporting, encouraging, lifting-up, growing together to meet our similar and personal goals. I want someone that is young at heart, loves adventure and traveling. Someone that never sees boundaries or limits on what can be achieved. A person that is happy with hanging out and doing nothing, chatting, that can laugh, tease and have fun.
I am sure it seems I may be a very picky or demanding man based on this response. The reality is that I just want a fun, spontaneous, real woman, that isn’t high maintenance and puts God, family, and others first. Someone that sees marriage as a 100% sharing of oneself into a unified partnership and team. Striving to reach the same goals while enjoying the journey together.
