我眼中的自己
First born son of Northern Irish immigrant parents, who were much older than my peers' parents when I was growing up. Thus, I grew up with all of the North Irish / UK mannerisms and customs. Although my education through the Master's degree was all completed here in the USA, I went to Durham University for my PhD. Fell in love with the entire region and people.
Being raised in the "old country" traditions, I took care of my parents for almost 26 years and that's why I've never married. American women just don't understand that entire concept.
My friends call me a "sociable nerd," in that I can talk to anyone about almost anything; even though my PhD is in Computer Science. I love animals, (have 3 dogs and 4 cats!), science fiction movies / TV, and I love the murder mysteries on BritBox here in the USA.
I retired as a full Professor of Computer Science, but got bored so I am now working for a local government agency developing software. If the right person comes along, I'lll fully retire and explore the world with them.
