I am open to moving to your country (once my masters graduation is finalised and I can qualify for a skilled migrant visa) if your family connections there are strong enough to justify the move. I do like the idea of connecting into my future wife's family though - I am not close with mine so it would be nice to be welcomed into a close family like that. I would just need them to be patient with me whilst I gained fluency with the language and adapted to local customs.

I have been working in IT for the last 8 years, and recently got promoted to a job in project management.

If I am going to start a relationship with someone from here, I only want to connect if it's the real deal. I want a real marriage, where we make a real commitment to each other and to making it work. As such, I would require a pre-nup because while the law may allow a no-fault divorce, that would be a complete waste of my time so I want to hedge against it.

Though I definitely do not consider myself rich, I am at a point in my life where I am comfortable enough financially that my wife would have the option to not work at all, if she chose. I would support her career if she chose to pursue one but I would always make sure that we had everything we needed. And honestly, the idea of coming home every day to a loving housewife just sounds great to me. I would move mountains to make sure she felt safe and provided for, and she would make our home a warm and loving escape from the world. I would make sure she never doubted my devotion to our family.

Ideally, I would like to hold off on children for at least a couple more years as I believe that building a really strong relationship and knowing how to work through adversity together is an essential skillset for parents, so I would prefer a woman who does not already have children - if you have a child, that's not a deal-breaker but it does require a little extra effort to figure out (i.e. if you come here and need visas). And I would take classes to learn your native language, so that I can connect more deeply with you and your family, and so that our future children (I love the idea of being a dad, especially to a daughter) would not miss out on learning about that half of their heritage/culture.

Part of me loves the idea of a wife who is a little bit artsy/creative/spiritual. I think we could have a great "Dharma & Greg" vibe, if the chemistry was right and we were genuinely committed to each other.
