About Me
Ugh, I feel weird trying to give people a sense of who I am by describing myself here... but I'll try.
I am a kind and friendly person. I'm shy at first, but once I get to know people I'm very warm and affectionate. I am fiercely loyal once I decide I like someone. I'm kind of a compulsive reader, and when Im home I love watching movies, listening to music, and do origami and other crafts; but I also like to go out, to have a drink with friends, have a nice dinner, take long walks, and I like being in contact with nature.
I'm a psychologist and acupuncturist, and I really care about people and want to do what I can to improve their lives - however, it's important to say, I don't like them to be emotionally dependent on me. I think that a good relationship is one where both parties add dimension to each other's lives, where they cooperate and truly listen to each other; but that thing where someone tries to fill an emptiness inside of them by trying to find a partner that they think will make their lives perfect, I don't think that ever works.
Well, I'm here talking about relationships, but to be honest I don't even know that I really want to try this online-long-distance-dating-thing. What I do know is that it would be nice to make some new friends from different cultures. So if you want to chat and maybe make a new brazilian friend, you'll be welcome. ;)
About My Match
I like people who are kind, open minded and reflexive - I honestly am more drawn to people who have a lot of questions and doubts than people who have absolute truths as moral guides. I also value a good sense of humor and flexibility. I'd say that kindness is what I value most - don't really care about a high education or what things someone owns, as life has taught me judgements based on those standards really don't make sense and will often keep you from meeting some amazing people.
Now, I must say this, a real deal breaker for me is prejudice, particularly racist and homophobic people, as I have no patience to deal with that sort of ill founded thinking.
